Nonsense - Smith n’ Wesson Paul

Nonsense, Holland LaGarde and Jasper Ewing, released their first full-length album as a duo, Mr. Picturesque VS. Filtribulation Nightmare in February, 2024. In order to generate visuals that match the complex and evocative music, I decided to use a process of EQ study in Reaper to isolate unique portions of the sound, and pair them with Touch Designer visualizations.

Compilled of videos from Jasper’s hometown in North Carolina, his new space in Berlin, and references of sound data translated visually, the final product is a looping visual that is never the same twice, due to the nature of the data assignment.
